Secrets of Padmanabhaswamy Temple’s Hidden Vaults

Where is the Temple?

The Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple found in Thiruvananthapuram, the main city of Kerala, India. It’s built in a mix of two architectural styles called Chera and Dravidian. The temple has tall walls and a big tower built around the 16th century.

The Padmanabhaswamy Temple is among the wealthiest Hindu temples in India. It’s devoted to Lord Vishnu and is first mentioned in old Tamil texts. Situated in Thiruvananthapuram, this temple is overseen by a trust led by the Royal family of Travancore, making it unique in Kerala as it’s managed by royalty.

The Secret Vault

The Padmanabhaswamy Temple is like a twin to the famous Sri Adikesavaperumal temple in Thiruvattar. Underneath it, there are six treasure rooms, but only five have been opened. The last one is still closed because people believe that opening it might make the god angry.

The Padmanabhaswamy Temple is super rich and has six treasure vaults. They’re called Vault A, Vault B, Vault C, Vault D, Vault E, and Vault F. These vaults are packed with a ton of treasure worth billions of dollars.

Breakdown of what is said to be in each vault of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple:

1. Vault A: This vault is believed to contain an enormous collection of gold coins, jewelry, and precious gems.

2. Vault C: It is rumored that Vault C contains ancient manuscripts, documents, and valuable historical records.

3. Vault D: This vault is said to contain even more gold treasures, including intricate jewelry and ceremonial objects.

4. Vault E: Vault E is rumored to hold a variety of precious stones, including diamonds, rubies, and emeralds.

5. Vault F: Similar to Vault A, Vault F is said to house a vast array of valuable items, including gold

What about Vault B? Is there something wrong with it?

The sixth secret vault, called Vault B, in the temple is thought to hide lots of treasures. People usually think it won’t ever be opened, but records show it was actually opened before, like in 1990 twice and in 2002 five times.

The Padmanabhaswamy temple’s tale has puzzled locals for ages. Many stories, movies, and documentaries have tried to unravel its treasure mystery. Films like Indiana Jones and Ali Baba – the Forty Thieves are inspired by this temple. According to ancient texts, there are six secret vaults hidden in the temple, each with its own mystery. Legend has it that an ancient curse guards the temple, and all its treasures are kept safe in these vaults.

Why aren’t people opening this vault?

The secret vault of the temple is surrounded by superstitions and myths. Many devout believers believe that anyone who attempts to open it will be cursed or face divine retribution. Throughout history, there have been numerous tales and legends that support this belief.

Snake-God

There’s a belief that the chamber’s door is guarded by the Snake-God and can only be opened by sadhus who know the ‘Garuda Mantra’. However, it’s said that there’s no sadhu in India capable of chanting this mantra.

People heard mysterious hissing sounds near the door, fueling speculation about the presence of the snake god.

As of now, the people on our side of the door can listen to the sounds of water or hisses made by snakes. Believers say that the sixth door has an opening when the entire temple and areas may be flooded with waters and some others say, that large serpents are guarding the area inside, they do not allow anyone. The day to know what’s behind is still awaited.
